An important component of a child’s development includes learning age-appropriate social skills. Treatment programs are designed by assessing each kiddo’s levels of social skills, including social referencing, play skills, joint attention, behavior skills, social awareness, eye contact, conversation and language skills, and school-readiness. We implement these goals into our programs to increase the child’s ability to play functionally, replace maladaptive behaviors that occur during social interactions, and increase social skills with peers. Our ultimate goal for each client is that they will engage in age-appropriate play, sharing, social communication and interaction to make and maintain friendships.
