Assessment &
Behavior Plans

Plans for each client are based on various assessments that target behavioral challenges and/or skills deficits that negatively impact their quality of life. Through these assessments, we can create a tailored treatment plan that targets the reduction of maladaptive behaviors and teaches kiddos replacement strategies or new skills appropriate for their age level. Intake will consist of interviews, observations, and playtime with the little one in their own familiar environment. After initial intake, your child’s new team will collaborate to devise an effective behavior plan, focusing on their unique needs.

Behavior
Therapy

Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are trained to implement the assigned client’s behavior plan and collect data during one-to-one sessions. RBTs work in home and community settings, depending on the needs to the client, and target behaviors to promote productive interactions and independence. The child’s therapist will deliver the direct behavior analysis service, with a goal of boosting appropriate, safe, and positive behavior choices in order to improve their quality of life.

EIBI empowers a family by providing the required service at an early age, specifically targeting communication and adaptive behavior skills. EIBI maximizes a child’s intervention gains by utilizing a total team approach, consisting of parents, bachelor’s-level technicians, and master’s-level specialists to implement these strategies for continuity of treatment and therapeutic efficacy. Our team will also coordinate with teachers and other providers, such as speech or occupational therapists, to achieve the best results. Components of EIBI include Discrete Trial Training (DTT), one-to-one sessions with your child and their assigned therapist for 20-40 hours a week of services, and supervision of the program designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at least four times a month.

DTT

Discrete Trial Training (DTT) is a teaching strategy

used in ABA programs. This structured technique consists of breaking down skills to be acquired by

your child into smaller, teachable units, and systematically teaching these targets one-by-one, depending on the client’s level of performance. During intake and throughout sessions, targets for DTT will be determined for each kiddo.

NET

Natural Environment Teaching (NET) is another teaching strategy that we use. This is a less structured technique that takes place in the child’s environment, in which technicians create opportunities to teach skills, including appropriate play, social, motor, and communication skills.

Boy with Toys

An important component of a child’s development includes learning age-appropriate social skills. Treatment programs are designed by assessing each kiddo’s levels of social skills, including social referencing, play skills, joint attention, behavior skills, social awareness, eye contact, conversation and language skills, and school-readiness. We implement these goals into our programs to increase the child’s ability to play functionally, replace maladaptive behaviors that occur during social interactions, and increase social skills with peers. Our ultimate goal for each client is that they will engage in age-appropriate play, sharing, social communication and interaction to make and maintain friendships.

Family with Toys

Parent education programs are designed to train and support caregivers and family members involved in the daily life of the client. Our goal is to help parents and caregivers understand the basic principles of ABA, be informed of the specific treatment programs created for their children, and learn how to implement the specific strategies and techniques provided by our team to increase changes of a successful intervention plan. During monthly checkins, our behavior analysts will be able to discuss any concerns or questions with caregivers and focus on teaching them how to identify the challenging behaviors, implement specific interventions to reduce the behavior, teach replacement skills, and deliver appropriate reinforcement when the child engages in positive behaviors.
